I work in many specialist areas – mainly due to extensive frontline experience. They include:

    • Stress
    • Depression
    • Yoga psychology
    • Mindfulness psychology
    • Anxiety
    • OCD
    • Phobias
    • Relationships
    • Personality disorder
    • Parenting issues
    • Childhood neglect
    • Eating mindfully
    • Sleep problems
    • Panic disorder
    • Managing anger
    • Trauma / PTSD
    • Bereavement
    • Chronic pain management
    • Emotional Focused therapy (EFT)
    • Holistic therapy – including body work, mindfulness, yoga and nutrition awareness
    • Relationship based interventions (attachment theory)
    • Couple work
    • Group work
    • Supervision

However, I do not narrowly categorise individuals’ needs according to issues because I work with people, not diagnoses and believes that a successful outcome is best achieved through tailoring differing psychological techniques & practices according to individual need.

In order to effectively treat my clients I use a variety of scientifically proven psychological techniques. Depending on who I am treating, I’ll use a combination of these techniques, that match the personality of those having therapy and the issues we are treating.

    • Client centred therapy
    • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
    • Intensive Short term Psychodynamic therapy (ISTDP)
    • Cognitive analytic therapy (CAT)
    • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
    • Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
    • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
    • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
